Cowboys News: “Blow it up” advice, McCarthy trying to turn the Tide

It has been eerily quiet regarding the free agency front for the Cowboys, yet somehow the team continues to make headlines. ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky believes Dallas should “blow it up” and move on from both head coach Mike McCarthy and quarterback Dak Prescott. While it seems unlikely at this point, the head-scratching offseason thus far leaves the door cracked open for more unusual decisions. Speaking of McCarthy, the Cowboys coach was in attendance to view the merchandise at the Alabama Pro Day in Tuscaloosa.

The day continued with a suggested marriage between Dallas and free agent wideout Odell Beckham Jr. to replace the recently departed Michael Gallup. If the team cannot come to terms with a veteran free agent, in-house options include a crop of Jalens. The lack of free agency moves has turned some delirious while others look at it as an opportunity. Reserve center Brock Hoffman is hopeful he can quiet the naysayers by sliding into the starting spot. Also, the stress Dallas could feel in the draft by allowing so many players to depart is becoming a concern, 30 visits at The Star, and Cowboys players continue to find interest in the open market. Lastly, a fomer Cowboys player who played for seven seasons with the club has passed away.
