J.T. Realmuto (neck contusion) is in the lineup for Wednesday’s series finale against the Cardinals. He left Tuesday’s game early after taking a bouncing pitch to the neck/throat area.

  • Orion Kerkering (right forearm strain)
  • Status: 15-day injured list Expected to return soon.
  • Kerkering is scheduled to make one final minor league rehab appearance in Clearwater within the next couple days, per Matt Gelb of The Athletic. He is expected to be activated from the injured list over the weekend during the Pirates series. He touched 99 mph in his last rehab outing with Lehigh Valley on Tuesday, April 9. — (Updated by Destiny Lugardo on April 10)
  • Taijuan Walker (right shoulder impingement)
  • Status: 15-day injured list 3-4 weeks away from returning
  • Walker’s first minor league rehab outing, scheduled for Thursday, April 11, was moved from Lehigh Valley to Clearwater with rain in the forecast. The Phillies would like to see Walker stretched out to around 100 pitches before activating him off the injured list. He threw 46 pitches in a live batting practice session on Saturday, April 6 in Washington.   • Luis Ortiz (left ankle sprain)
  • Status: 15-day injured list
  • Ortiz is in Clearwater rehabbing from an ankle sprain, according to MLB.com. He suffered the injury while trying to field a chopper on the mound in a March 30 game against the Braves. — (Updated by Destiny Lugardo on April 10)
  • Dylan Covey (right shoulder strain)
  • Status: 15-day injured list
